Children in the southern Philippines have a difficult and dangerous journey to school. Ryan lives in a cottage with his grandmother and dreams of becoming an engineer. He and his family have to travel long distances and climb a steep rock face every day. Despite the risks, they take the path to school in order to have a better life. Joe Murray, Shannon, Ryan, and other children have to climb and navigate through the jungle every day to get to school, braving bad weather, slippery rocks, and other obstacles. They have to hurry, as school starts in two hours. Despite the challenges they face, the students still show up to school every day and are rewarded with an education that can potentially give them a better life.
